Review: Meet Me at Midnight – Jessica Pennington

Review: Meet Me at Midnight &#..

Since Jessica Pennington released her debut, Love Songs and Other Lies, I have been a fan of her books. Love Songs was exactly my kind of story with love hate and a road trip, okay, music tour, and amazing characters, and her sophomore book, When Summer Ends, was a fantastic mix chemistry and sports and summer. I enjoyed both of them so much I couldn’t wait to meet her new characters in Meet Me at Midnight and let me tell you Jessica did not disappoint. Meet Me at Midnight was by far Pennington’s best work and you can feel her […]

Review: The Idea of You – Robinne Lee

Review: The Idea of You –..

The Idea of You is a book I have had on my Kindle for approximately 3 years. I had a back and forth relationship with wanting to read it. I was excited when I got it and then that excitement waned and I lost interest. But sometime in 2019 that interest popped up again when a lot of my reading friends started to read it and talk about it. Finally I decided it was time to give it a go. Review: The Happy Ever After P..

26 In 2019 I was given a copy of The Friend Zone and told to read it. It was a debut from new author, Abby Jimenez, and my friend was really excited about it. She knew it would be something I would love, and she wasn’t wrong. It was the perfect balance of humor and emotional heartbreak and I’m so happy I got to read it. And then I heard about The Happy Ever After Playlist. The companion to The Friend Zone and I was so excited. I loved the character it was about and wanted to see what their […]

Review: A Quiet Kind of Thunder – Sara Barnard

Review: A Quiet Kind of Thunde..

In May of 2017 I added A Quiet Kind of Thunder to my TBR. I’m not sure if it was recommended to me or if I saw something in the description that I wanted to read more about, but I just know I added it to my ever growing list and there is sat. Actually it sat there for 2 years even while I had a copy readily available to me. And then in November of 2019 I was looking for a Q book to read for a reading challenge. I hit up my trusty TBR list and the first […]

Briefly Romantic (7)

In 2019 I read the beginning of a new series, The Bromance Book Club. It was fun and quirky and made me laugh. There was something oddly entertaining about a group of alpha males, mostly professional sports players, reading a romance novel and taking “pointers” from it. It was refreshing in a sense. So when I heard about book 2, Undercover Bromance, which was featuring my one of my favorite guys from book 1, was coming out I was thrilled. And while Undercover Bromance was good enough, for me it was missing some of the magic book one had and […]
