Along with my Goodreads Challenge (you can find my progress on the side bar) I also challenged myself to 2 other challenges for 2015. Every month I will check in with my challenge updates.
Back in December I signed up for The Re-Read Challenge hosted by Belle of the Literati and So Obsessed With. Honestly I didn’t expect this to be a problem and so far it hasn’t. I’m on track to reach my goal of 12-14 books without a hitch. My May rereads:
Title: A Court of Thorns and Roses
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Date Reread: May 2, 2015 – May 18, 2015
Type: Audio Book
I started this reread in a physical copy of the book. But then I had some stuff come up and I switched the audio. The audio was really enjoyable. It has the same narrator as The Girl of Fire and Thorns and I liked that audio too. I just really love this book in general though so it was nice to get a reread done since I read it so long ago. REVIEW
I also committed the the Flights of Fantasy challenge run by Alexa Love Books and Hello, Chelly. As you may have heard, I am new to the fantasy genre (thank you Sarah J. Maas and Throne of Glass for this!) and I thought it would be good for me to challenge myself with this one. I have decided to do 12 so I only have to read 1 a month. My May fantasy reads:
SEE REREADS
Title: The White Rose (The Lone City series)
Author: Amy Ewing
Date Read: May 16, 2015 – May 20, 2015
Type: ARC (gifted from author)
I was addicted to The Jewel so I was extra happy when Amy shared not only the title with me early but was kind and sent me an ARC. And ut was just as addicting as the first book. That I can attest to. Review will show up eventually.
I didn’t read as much in May as I hoped. I’m not really sure why. I may be because of BEA or just life in general. I am in the middle of a reard of Froi of the Exiles which will be on hold until June but I’m okay with it. After Froi I will listen to Quintana. And I have an itch to read Anna and the French Kiss for time number 11. We’ll see.
So there you have it, my May check-in. How did you do on your challenges so far?
A Court of Thorns and Roses is an EXCELLENT reading choice, if you ask me 😉
Today is my first time reading anything since before BEA and it is HARD to find my stride again. That is to say I probably also could have read more this month. So it goes!
Either way it sounds like you’re right on track 🙂
I bought The Jewel really cheap on Kindle, so I’m hoping to read it soon (or at least around the time The White Rose comes out).
ACOTAR… well, I’m not happy with certain news regarding that haha!
